Wiki

A themed, publishable site over a whole world — and a public address for it.

A wiki is an app that reads a world instead of storing content of its own, and turns whatever's already in it — cards, maps, notes — into a site a stranger can read. It isn't a third kind of thing: vvd has tool and app, and a wiki is an app wearing a few extra manifest fields.

The whole section is one build: scaffold a wiki, read the world as pages, pick a theme, let the owner arrange it, and publish it to a real address. Here's the idea in miniature — no codec, no document type, just a live read of the world it's sitting in:

const world = useWorldMeta()
const cards = useWorldQuery("documents", { type: "card" })
A wiki front page, live
Running on example data.
Starting the example…

Nothing above is stored by the wiki — every name on that page is a card that already exists in this world, read live. Edit one in the real app and the wiki follows in the same second. That idea, plus a theme and a Publish button, is the whole section.
